Abstract:

An x-ray-UV spectrometer is part of the complex of optoelectronic apparatus made in this country for continuous monitoring of the spectral composition and of the absolute value of the fluxes of ionizing radiation from the sun in the wavelength range from 1.8 to 198 nm. Calculations have been carried out of the expected signals for the spectrum of the quiet sun, demonstrating that it can be operated both in the absence of even solar subflares and in periods of the most powerful solar flares. The two channels of the spectrometer have been spectrally calibrated on VUV lamps, and the mean effective transmittance of the device has been determined.
