An analysis of the surfaces of bone and cartilaginous biopsy specimens was performed using Raman spectroscopy. The spectral characteristics of the subchondral bone as well as the cartilaginous tissue of the loaded and unloaded areas of the articular surface were established.
spectroscopy, Raman scattering, biopsy specimen, osteoarthrosis, hyaline cartilage
