This article discusses features of the study of the flow structure of a liquid medium in tubing with a circular cross section. The possibilities are determined by using a method based on the Doppler effect to investigate liquid media flowing in the tubes considered here. A new technique is proposed for determining defects on the inner walls of tubing by using laser radiation scattered on particles of flowing liquid.
