Abstract:

This paper discusses the layout of spectral apparatus for extra-atmospheric astrophysical experiments in the UV region of 91-320 nm. The efficiency (information content) of these layouts is evaluated, and it is concluded that the method of aperture segmentation of the orbital telescope possesses a significant advantage for the indicated wavelength range. It is shown that the aperture-segmentation method allows the long-slit spectrograph (LSS) of the Spectrum-UV space observatory to achieve high information content of the spectral observations and makes the spectrograph structurally compatible with the other scientific apparatus. A comparative analysis of the efficiency of various LSS systems is carried out, and the place of the proposed version of the device among its counterparts is evaluated.
