This paper presents an analysis of experimental data from the results of which a parametric model of the perceptible-contrast threshold is developed for visual stimuli in a wide range of their angular sizes with an adaptation luminance of −2.465≤log lgLa ≤2.535 and stimulus exposure 1/100≤τ<15 sec. The proposed model makes it possible to predict stimulus-discrimination probabilities whose values match the data of independent experiments.
