Abstract:

This paper analyzes how the position of the pupils affects the operation of nonmisadjustable optical goniometers equipped with a geometrical-reference channel. These devices are widely used as the sensors of spacecraft-orientation systems. Based on the indicated analysis, the most rational solution is exhibited for preventing noncoincidence of the pupils of the channels from affecting the operation of high-accuracy goniometers with a geometrical-reference channel.
