Abstract:

This paper presents the results of test-stand measurements of the instrumental polarization of the MS 3M—5 SA objective. It is proposed to use a similar measurement technique and the polarization–optical components used here to subsequently measure the instrumental polarization of the Large Azimuthal Telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory, Russian Academy of Sciences.

Keywords:

instrumental polarization, measurement of stokes parameters, analysis of the structure of magnetic fields
