Abstract:

A method is proposed for determining the absorption coefficients of optical dielectric media. It is based on angular measurements of light fluxes. The absorption coefficients of laser radiation are determined for a number of optical samples at a wavelength of 655 nm. The proposed method of determining the absorption coefficients of optical dielectric media (light filters) for a specific wavelength made it possible to obtain the values of the coefficients with an error no greater than 0.5%–1%.
