Abstract:

Five-coordinate automatic machines have been created on the basis of advanced technologies and facilities developed earlier for the automatic shaping of large astrooptics. The APD-600 automatic polishing-and-lapping machine for processing high-aperture optics and the AD1-K automatic lapping machine for shaping silicon carbide mirrors with computer control make it possible to increase the throughput and processing quality of optical surfaces.
