Abstract:

In high-precision complexes on aircraft or on transport, it is necessary to measure the current distance to the surface of land, water, or another object, to record given distances from 1 to 200 m, or to detect objects with a radius of 1–50 m when aerosol noise, atmospheric formations, or partial smokiness is present. In order to create compact, noise-suppressing, rapid-acting optoelectronic systems for short-distance ranging, it is best to use a pulsed method to measure short distances from the delay of the received pulse relative to the emitted pulse. Results are given that show that it is possible to create standardized on-board optoelectronic pulsed systems.
