A theory has been developed for the resonance elastic scattering of light in Bragg structures (one-dimensional photonic crystals) with randomly rough interfaces. The spectral and angular dependences of the scattering distribution of light are investigated, expressed in terms of the statistical parameters of the interfaces. The diffuse reflection spectra of light with different linear polarizations are studied numerically, and the shape of the spectra is analyzed. It is established that the diffuse component of the reflected light is resonantly amplified in the spectral region of the stop-zone edges. The elastic scattering spectra demonstrate a strong dependence on the polarization of the light and on the angles of incidence and scattering. It is shown that, in the case of p-polarized light, the diffuse component of the reflected light can be completely suppressed by appropriately choosing the angles of incidence and scattering.
