Abstract:

This paper presents a brief review of theoretical studies at the State Optical Institute and a more detailed account of recent results in theoretical laser physics and nonlinear optics. The development of theoretical concepts concerning the bistability of distributed optical systems in space is followed in the greatest detail, up to the latest results on three-dimensional topological laser solitons and ultrashort laser pulses.

Keywords:

laser physics, extremal nonlinear optics, optical bistability, dissipative optical solitons, ultrashort pulses
