For citation (Journal of Optical Technology):

Objective. Surface relief holograms and their application for information security purposes. Goal of the work. Search for combinations of dissimilar means in one hologram, which makes it difficult for unauthorized copying. Method. Analysis of publications and the authors’ own experience. Main results. The main forms of holograms application in the mass market segment are analyzed. Current and future production volumes are given. Current trends in the development of recording technology and current security elements are shown. Practical significance. A conclusion is drawn about the importance of holography specialists overcoming the inertia of demand and the need to offer customers new types of holograms and approaches to their use.
