Abstract:

Subject of study. Synthetic diamond samples made under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions and subjected to radiation-thermal treatment with a content of NV0 centers of no more than 10 ppm. Aim of study. Temperature dependences experimental study of spectral characteristics of  synthetic diamond samples cathodoluminescence in the temperature range from 90 to 800 K. Method. The luminescence of synthetic diamonds was studied using spectroscopic techniques. Main results. The cathodoluminescence spectra of three diamond samples were examined in the temperature range from 90 to 800 K. Cathodoluminescence was excited by an electron beam with an energy of up to 300 keV. Temperature dependencies of various color centers were obtained, and an atypical temperature dependence of the 3H center luminescence was observed, likely associated with thermostimulated luminescence. Practical significance. The results of this study on the luminescence centers in synthetic diamonds will serve as a basis for the development of various optoelectronic devices, such as thermostimulated or cathodoluminescent dosimeters.
