This paper discusses the possibilities of using the wavelet method to analyze interference fringes with variable parameters and local features. It is shown that it is possible to transform interference fringes, to segment them, and to filter them so as to pictorially display the properties of the interference signals in the region of the wavelet transformation. Examples of the analysis of one-dimensional interference signals and two-dimensional patterns of interference fringes are presented.
