Abstract:

This paper discusses the problems of the technology of ‘‘laser drawing’’ of near-field probes ~NFPs! from quartz fiber. Measurements of the fiber temperature in the heating zone by means of a spectral-ratio pyrometer are presented. The possibility of controlling the stretching parameters during fabrication of NFPs is considered.
