Abstract:

This paper compares how the two main regimes of anisotropic Bragg acoustooptic diffraction affect the degree of coherence of a optical field when optical rays interact with acoustic waves of various frequencies that cross in this case an identical number of layers of an acoustic grating. It is shown that the character of the speckle pattern of the optical radiation obtained at large angles of incidence of light on an acoustic wave front virtually coincides with that of the field pattern diffracted at small angles of incidence if the number of layers of the acoustic grating is identical. The frequencies of the acoustic waves in this case differ by a factor of 5.
