This paper proposes a physical model of the reflection of a parallel pencil of rays by a convexo-concave lens made from plastically deformed synthetic sapphire, making it possible to calculate the reflection coefficient of light from the outer and inner surfaces of the lens. Ways to reduce losses to reflection from the inner surface of the lens are considered.
