This paper is devoted to a study of the features of the nonlinear conversion of radiation in various types of optical fibers. It is found that, when a narrow-band radiation source is used, the spectrum of the converted radiation in a fiber-optic ring apparatus shows significant broadening, whose character depends on the type of optical fiber. It is shown that the broadening of the radiation spectrum results from partially degenerate four-wave mixing. Solutions are found in explicit form that satisfy boundary conditions that correspond to the experimental conditions.
