Abstract:

At the level of the requirements of refractometric technologies, this paper presents the results of measurements of the refractive index, its concentration and temperature dependences, and also the UV absorption in green liquors formed in the production of sulfate cellulose. The design features and technical–operational parameters of a commercial refractometer for monitoring the overall alkalinity of green liquors are briefly considered.

Keywords:

commercial refractometers, refractometric sensors in cellulose production, optical properties of green liquors, green liquors refractive index, temperature coefficient of refractive index in green liquors, UV absorption in green liquors solutions
