Abstract:

The subject of this study is a 3D printing method based on holographic shaping by displaying   a three-dimensional distribution of radiation intensity within a photopolymer material. This method  offers the advantage, compared to additive manufacturing, of eliminating sequential synthesis and  forming the entire product with a single exposure. The aim of the work is to develop a method for 3D  printing of three-dimensional products based on single-exposure holographic shaping in the volume of  material, identifying and studying the factors that determine the configuration and dimensional cha-  racteristics of three-dimensional products. The methodology involves an experimental and theoreti- cal investigation of the influence of oxygen inhibition, material absorption, the wavelength of radia- tion used to record the projecting hologram and in the 3D printing scheme, and two-photon processes  on product characteristics. Key results. The feasibility of implementing this method using radiation  in the green and UV spectral regions as the shaping radiation and laboratory and industrial photo- polymer materials is demonstrated. Reducing the wavelength of the shaping radiation is beneficial  for reducing dimensional transformations. A relationship is established between the depth extension  of the formed objects and absorption in the material, and its positive role for small-sized products.   The potential of using femtosecond radiation for reducing the size of the polymerization region is  demonstrated. Practical significance: the single-exposure holographic shaping method is of interest  for the rapid fabrication of 3D microsurfaces, as well as 3D products for engineering and medicine.
